We continue to work on assembling detailed information on and photos of the Woodcut collection.  This has been a huge task, but will prove beneficial at the end of the project.  Included will be a CD of all items (which will also become available to the public).  The collection includes a number of very rare books related to the period, including such notables as Captain Stansbury's report on Utah and the "Great Basin."  We hope to complete the initial preparations of the information for the CD by the end of July.  At that time we hope to then make the collection available for purchase.

We are ready to start accepting pre-print orders for a new reprint of the Journal of Discourses, expected to be available for shipping by the 1st of December.

We have finally put the list of Arnold Friberg limited edition, autographed, and numbered prints on the site.  Some are very rare.  These are prints as originally issued with artist signatures, print number, and in some cases Artist Proofs.  We have the possibility of adding another print to the listing, from the Western sets.  We are working out final details on that item.  That item is extremely rare.

Happy Holidays!
Just in time for the holidays, we are going to be putting some special items on our site, even though some of them are not really directly "Mormon" related.  They are Arnold Friberg prints.  These are special, however.  They are all limited edition prints and come with certificates.  Several of them are artist proofs and are signed.  Please keep checking back for a listing and images.

We have quite a number of books that have not yet been put online, including notable such as Pres. Alvin R. Dyer's, The Refiners Fire.  Elder Alvin R. Dyer was made a counselor in the First Presidency and appointed in General Conference to be a "Watchman on the Tower," over the Missouri are, particularly in the area of Adam-ondi-Ahman.  The book, The Refiner's Fire was written specifically to give information that relates to that area and also its relationship to Church history.  Chapter 2 includes Pres. David O. McKay's visit to the area, along with photos and maps.  This is a rare volume these days.  If you desire purchase information, please contact us.

Another extremely exciting group of items has come to our attention and will be available soon through MormonMemorabilia.com.  It is the world's largest collection of LDS woodcut art, metal printings, etc., from the 1800s.  The collection consists of over 1,000 items printed as woodcuts, metal printings, and from other methods.  Eighty of the pieces are museum quality matted and framed for public display and some have been in a museum in California.  A number of the pieces are rare enough that the LDS Church has expressed interest in them.  More information will be forthcoming as we are able to scan in and photograph a number of the items.

We acquired a rare $50 Nauvoo House Stock Certificate!  This is certificate number 176 and is signed by John Snider and Bp. George Miller.  These certificates were issues as a result of the revelation recorded in the 124th Section of the Doctrine and Covenants.  It is exciting to hold an item that is so old (it was signed February 10th, 1841), from the Nauvoo era.  It is a rare piece of Mormon history.  We have set up a page with quotations from the Doctrine and Covenants as well as additional information about this rare item.  More info.....

After distribution of pre-ordered sets of the Journal of Discourses, there are a few sets left for sale.  These sets are beautifully bound and printed.  Many of the pages are clearer than the sets re-published in the 1960s.  It has been a long time since a hard-bound set of these rare books have been published.  We are told that some sets have sold on e-Bay in the last few months for as high as $1,200.  These are a real bargain, so get a set now while they are available.  They may be purchased through PayPal.  More info...
